Veronica Wolfgang (b. 2001), a multidisciplinary sculptor and textile artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Working across sculpture, installation, research, and photography, their practice explores the emotional and cultural weight of everyday objects—grappling with desire, memory, obsession, and decay. Raised in a family of folk artists and artisans, Wolfgang’s foundation in craft informs their tactile, sustainable approach. They transform found objects and textile waste into sculptural artifacts that feel both ancient and speculative. By age 21, Wolfgang had earned a BA in Philosophy and History and an MA in Philosophy focused on political theory and post-structuralist critiques of labor. This rigorous academic background underpins the conceptual force of their work. Since relocating to Brooklyn in 2019, they’ve lived many creative lives—as a model, art director, designer, and founder of bywolfgang, a sculptural jewelry label rooted in gender-expansive adornment and heirloom materials.
