Barbara MacFerrin is an award winning fine art portrait photographer based in Boulder, Colorado. Inspired by old master paintings of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, she captures beautiful images to display in timeless, fine art portraits. Her intention is to capture her subjects' true essence and to create not just photographs, but works of art. Barbara's love of photography began after her father, who was also a photographer, gifted her a 35mm camera on her 17th birthday. Over the next 25 years, photography became a hobby, mainly capturing landscapes in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. After ending a 12 year career in the information technology field, Barbara started her portrait photography business in late 2016. Since then, her work has become recognized worldwide winning multiple international awards. She has earned the title of Accredited Master Level Photographer of The Portrait Masters, and is a Master Photographer with Professional Photographers of America. Her work has been published in Boulder Magazine, Shutter Magazine, UK's Professional Photo Magazine and Professional Photographer Magazine. Barbara also teaches online and in person Fine Art Photography workshops to photographers all around the world.
