About The Artwork

In the heart of Mazandaran, Iran, where the whispers of the Caspian Sea can be felt, stands an evocative symbol of yesteryears - an abandoned Iran Air office? This photograph captures more than just a forgotten structure; it encapsulates a juxtaposition of nature's perseverance and man's transitory endeavors. As viewers, we are invited to reflect on stories that might have transpired within those blue walls and the myriad of emotions that once echoed. Inspired by the contrast of nature's tenacity and human impermanence, I sought to bring forth both a sense of nostalgia and a reflection on the impermanent nature of our endeavors. Through this medium and subject matter, I hope the viewer is transported to that very spot, feeling the gentle breeze of the Caspian while contemplating the tales untold within those silent walls. Location: Mazandaran, Iran. ©Golnaz Jamsheed (2008). All Rights Reserved.
