About The Artwork
John Lee Hooker photographed live at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, 1986. I was very lucky to briefly meet Mr Hooker when I was waiting by the stage door to collect my photo pass. A car pulled up, the door slid open and there he was. A smile, a nod and an 'oh-whee' and he was on his way. The lighting for the show was very poor for taking photographs, the light was shining from above directly onto his white hat. Only twice in the whole performance did he lean back and luckily I was ready for one of them! The print size includes a one inch white border and is printed on archival paper with a gold selenium tone.
