Nana S.R. Klimek Tinley is a photographer of Austrian–Japanese heritage, living and working between London and Vienna. Her practice is rooted in a long-standing engagement with dance, which has shaped her visual language since her first photographic dance series, MOVE!, in 2009. While active for many years, she made her public debut in Brooklyn, New York, in 2019. Since then, her work has been presented internationally at art fairs including Red Dot Miami (2022, 2023), Art Wynwood (2023), Art Santa Fe (2023), Parallel Vienna (2024), and the Affordable Art Fair New York (2025). She has also participated in group exhibitions at venues such as Setagaya Art Museum (Japan), Bergdorf Goodman (New York), and independently organised art events in London. In 2024, she published her first photobook, DAIDO LOVE, released by Photobook Café Editions and launched at Offspring London and Peckham ́24. The book is held by The Photographers’ Gallery and Photobook Café in London, and by WestLicht in Vienna. Nana’s work explores movement as a visual and emotional language. Alongside her dance-focused practice, DAIDO LOVE reflects a parallel engagement with street photography, extending her interest to everyday encounters, environments, and the fleeting moments that shape lived experience. Nana’s work can be found in private collection in the United States and Europe.
