Rachel Calvo is a professional portrait photographer and mixed media artist based in Paris.
Born in 1975 in Australia, Rachel grew up on the southern beaches of Sydney. Her globe-trotting parents instilled a desire to travel and explore the world. This encouraged her to travel to London in 1999 and finally France, where she now resides with her family.
Her mixed media studies are a blend of photography, gold leaf, gold inks and dried flowers; many of which she collects and preserves herself. She uses this medium to showcase issues for women that are often internalised, though which exist for each one of us. She hopes to encourage a wider discussion around the topics of ageism, body image, sexuality and self-love.
