La Dame de Fer. The Iron Lady. The Eiffel Tower will always hold a special place in my heart, since this is where I asked my wife to marry me back in 2004 on our first trek together to Europe. I made many shots of the tower, both in daylight and at night, and I happen to love how I processed this on...

About the Artist

John Valenti

A national award-winning journalist, my work has been submitted for Pulitzer Prize consideration a dozen times and I've also made hundreds of TV and radio appearances, among them on NPR and Good Morning America. Author of Swee'pea [Simon & Schuster / Atria], a critically acclaimed book centered around New York City playground basketball legend Lloyd (Swee'pea) Daniels, I've been featured in several documentary films -- including the Emmy Award-winning ESPN 30-for-30 Big Shot. While I've worked primarily as a sports reporter, news reporter, columnist and investigative journalist, I've also done travel writing and photography during a four-decade career at a major New York daily paper, and my debut crime novel For Nothing Is Hidden was recently published to critical acclaim. This marks my first foray into selling my fine art photography . . . P.S. When calling up full screen versions PLEASE use the "Original" file, especially when looking at Open Edition prints -- because those files appear to be proper large-scale renditions. We've recently rethought how we sell these prints after a number of orders, going unmatted and unframed for the Limited Edition prints in order to drastically reduce the price point for the artwork. As usual, Saatchi also offers Open Edition versions available as a nice alternative to the signed and numbered Limited Edition prints . . .
