The MASKS Project was designed with the aim of raising funds for the AIPI, The Italian Pulmonary Hypertension Association. The objective of Gianluigi di Napoli has collected in 40 shots the essence of the circus and the clown's mask, with the intent to produce a calendar. The project MASKS interprets the the clown's mask through 12 famous women from the world of entertainment, music, culture and sport, who interpreted the magic of the circus, expressing their own ideas of authenticity, strength and sensuality. The protagonists of the project that have been playing with their image to support AIPI: Federica Pellegrini, swimmer, Carolina Crescentini, Valeria Solarino, Scommegna Arianna, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Paola Minaccioni, actresses, Petra Conti, etoile of Scala, Nathalie Moellhausen, fencer, Maria Buccellati, stylist, Babsi Jones, writer, Ilaria Porceddu, singer and Livia Azzariti, doctor and television anchorwoman. The make-up and was created by David Larible, the most famous living clown exclusively inventing and adapting elements of "classic" clown masks in the face of each subject. David was assisted by a team of highly skilled International Make-Up Artists. MASKS The project is held under the patronage of ONDa, National Observatory on Women's Health and in favor of AIPI, Pulmonary Hypertension Association Onlus. The Pulmonary arterial hypertension, a rare disease of the pulmonary circulation, degenerative and highly disabling, and affects mostly women and little known, the exhibition wants to talk about this disease and the difficult daily condition that sufferers deal. The calendar will be sold online and at the exhibitions together with works in limited edition. Part of the profits from the sale of the photographs and the calendars will be donated to AIPI

Gianluigi Di Napoli was born in Apulia in 1962. At the age of twenty he went to Florence to study architecture, but he soon earned a reputation as a professional photographer for the theater and music scene there. He then set up a studio for visual communication and fashion photography. In 2002 published with Edition Stemmle his first book Circus Life - Everynight, all around the world, a look behind the scenes at the work of rehearsal and the everyday family life behind the glittering circus show. In 2008 published with Damiani Editore the book A Poet in Action, the many faces of the 21st century's most celebrated clown, an anthology of images dedicated to David Larible, for years defined by the press as "the world's greatest clown". He had numerous solo exhibitions in Europe. In 2004 produced with Cirque du Soleil, Nel Cuore di Saltimbanco, a institutional exhibition of the show Saltimbanco on tour in Europe. Since 2003 he permanently collaborate with Italian Vanity Fair as portrait photographer. His work has been published in many international magazines, including Le Monde 2, Vogue Gioiello, Max, Capital, Panorama Economy, Mare and Leica International.
