ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was walking through the garden of a house, in the middle of the Tijuca forest, in Rio de Janeiro, when I saw this flower, of the heliconia species. Its colors, in contrast to the green of the leaf, are quite highlighted and this made me think that it would be interesting to photograph it. And there is this beautiful example of the nature of the tropics, immortalized in a photograph.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
