It was in São Paulo, Brazil, at the Brooklin subway station that I took this photograph. First of all, what inspired me was the modern architecture of the station. The contrast of the external light with the internal penumbra, made me think that it would be a great occasion for a high contrast photograph. So, I chose an angle that best explored the symmetry of the place and the result was the one I'm making available to you. Surely lovers of architecture, black and white and urban photography will want to acquire this work.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
