From the series 'Metropolis'. This series is a look into the future that is filled with a voice from the past. In the late 1920s architect Le Corbusier formulated a new vision of the ideal city, the "Ville Radieuse". It represented an utopian dream to reunite man within a well-ordered environment. Flash forward to 2050, when it is expected that two-thirds of the world's population will live in megacities. Imagine cities where the dreams, ideas, curiosity, ambition and creative thinking power of a projected 7 billion people will all be concentrated. Imagine the possibilities. Imagine what it will look like. What if these future cities will resemble Le Corbusier's vision? I believe they will cease to be mere cities, they will become multi-layered living and breathing entities, they will become planets in themselves. This series of nightscape images is an ode to a bright and vibrant future.
