This series stands as a testament to the malleability of image and identity in our hyper-mediated age. It transcends portraiture, transforming it into a dialogue—a layered meditation on the mutable self. Ayerle’s experience in Milan infused the project with a deeper connection to Italian artistry, anchoring his digital experiments in a rich cultural context. Each piece in MilanoX is a palimpsest of identities, revealing a fractal tapestry of celebrity and individuality. The work challenges viewers to reconcile the multiplicity of selves contained within a single icon, pushing us to question not only what we see but how we perceive identity in the digital age. In a post-truth era, where the real and the simulated merge, Ayerle's oeuvre becomes a lens through which to explore the fluidity of existence. His work is a hyperreal simulacrum—a celebration and deconstruction of the celebrity cult, offering both a critique and an homage to our mediated reality.
