I began with my children bubblegum automat series about 20 years ago! No joke! It was in the 90's, when I lived in Frankfurt and on a really boring sunday afternoon I just walked around in my neighbourhood, south central. I saw these little pieces on the wall and it was like a dejavu bringing, reminding me of my own childhood, when I was a big fan and consumer of these small goodies in this candy automats! They are very typical. So with the times, I continue photographing these wall-pieces and never forgot them. I have really old images with good old DM currency! Nowadays, you don't see them so much, and they slowly dissapear from the city. I did never understood why these little children fun automats do have a magic force of attraction for any kind of "self-named artists" with their tags and sticks putting on these little machines. Its just like they might think this is a first class advertising space or platform for their ideas and propaganda... By the way: "Muschi Mieze" means something like "sweetheart or pussycat" - its really not meant vulgar or so, its just like you say: "Hey, Honey!" I pictured this example with my LINHOF Master Technika and a 210 mm Schneider-Kreuznach lense, of course again KODAK PORTRA 160 negative. I dont like too much "noise" or disturbance like a ugly wall or something else in the background, so I released the automat just like a good product photography. I hope you like it.
