My Own personal Tattoo, Kiki "You woodoo me with that picture" Kiki at Hotel Amour in Paris with her man. I consider tattooed people to be true romantics who mark their skin with intense memory. They use the surface of their skin as a blank sheet of paper to free themselves of something that can be conscious or unconscious. Tattooing is a social phenomenon. However, I wanted to set aside prejudices and the craze. I am interested in people, with tattooes that have a purpose, a story to tell. That’s what moves me. Like an exposure, the tattoo is a writing of the intimate and the photograph is another. "My own personal tattoo" have been exposed in Paris & Arles France. Printed on velvet ultra mat photographic paper 50x40 cm glued together on Aluminium sheet 1 mn signed, numbered and dated, and come with a certificate of authenticity. Each picture is sign with the text of the portrait interview. Size 50x40 cm

I grew up in France and move to New York in the beginning of the 90's. I enrolled at the "New York School of Visual Arts" to study photography. Photography seemed the best way to catch all that the amazing city had to offer... the light, the architecture and the great cultural mix. Movies had been a great inspiration. Telling stories thru images. Opportunities to meet and photograph a multitude of fascinating personalities. My artistic approach is to tell stories. Initially inspired by the sacred woman & man. I wanted to show the beauty, sensuality of women, with a feminine view. "A hymn to women and their duality". Artist photographer, journalist, I made many encounter who supported my approach of independent woman. I wish to transmit these values with my photographs and texts. To be proud to be a woman, wild, strong feminine and full of kindness. Some human like to put you in boxes. I don't fit in boxes. “My own personal Tattoo”, portraits & stories is my first personal work exposed in Paris and in Arles France. Reveals personalities who touch me, moved by the richness of the meeting with these unique personalities. Work against jugement of the tattooed soul. Don't juge people until your know their stories. It's also my story, after an intense emotion i had to tattoo myself, but first i wanted to understand why, so i started to photograph tattooed people & interview it was a great adventure for 7 years. To be continue...
