Oak-lined ranch road, Carmel Valley, CA - Limited Edition 2 of 25 Photograph

I've photographed the Louisiana landscape and live oaks of the South and West for more than 30 years. My black-and-white and hand-colored “oak portraits” reveal the majestic and mystical qualities of this much-loved species of tree. I print my images on archival fine-art paper or canvas that's varnished for colorfastness. The prints have a slightly smooth texture. The image size is 16" x 20" with approx. 1/2" white border around the image. It will ship rolled in a heavy-duty tube. I began photographing in the pre-digital days of black-and-white film and my black-and-white images are still made using film. My work has always communicated my love and appreciation of the landscape and the importance of wilderness for the health of the planet.
