This was taken in Paris at midday, during the summer of the pandemic. People were forced to eat on the pavements and also they built stages on the roads so the great tradition of French Dejenuer could continue. In crafting this black and white photograph, I sought to capture the essence of daily life and the poignant solitude that can be found even in the busiest of city streets.
