ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I saw this graffiti on a wall near the canal St-Martin where we would go to have a break from the heat in Paris and watch the boats come out of the tunnel. The little girl appears to write " Art is life " on the wall and the whole composition I thought was asking to be photographed. As you probably know, there is a lot of very interesting graffiti in Paris, very thoughtfully done, and not just the squiggles you see everywhere in cities.. This limited edition in black and white print will be printed on fine art paper .The dimensions refer to the actual image size, the final print is slightly larger, allowing for a white border on all 4 sides, and a signature bottom right and an edition number bottom left. All prints are issued with a certificate of Authenticity.

. My recent paintings and photographs of Parisian, Veinnese and New York everyday life are inspired by the many summers and winters we have lived in the cities. I truly believe thet art is the highest form of hope. Jo Tuck's works are in private collections around the world and regularly participates in shows in New York, Caelum Gallery, and London. , including Christie's Cancer benefit show and the RA Summer shows Her background is film editing until she became a full-time painter and photographer. While she was at college she made two 16mm short films, one on the Australian Aboriginal Women and another on Sheep farming in Wales. After film editing for the BBC and feature films I took up painting and photography full time. My photojournalism is inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Eugene Atget, and Robert Frank .
