ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Walking along Paulista Avenue in São Paulo, Brazil, I came across this building and soon imagined how beautiful it would look in a photograph. It is a beautiful example of modern Brazilian architecture, from 1959. So I did the photograph and chose the square format, to understand that this would be the appropriate proportion, after some tests. I hope architecture lovers enjoy this photograph as much as I do.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
