My work emerges as a silent dialogue between the ancient stones of a corridor forgotten by time and the solitary figure that traverses it. Using 3D modeling techniques, I've sculpted forms and volumes, aiming to capture the essence of a past that still breathes within these walls. The light that dances upon the stones has been carefully modeled, as though it were the brushstroke of an artist from bygone days, striving to create a bridge between human warmth and the coldness of the stone. The post-processing with Photoshop amplifies the sense of a dreamlike atmosphere, with the grain reminiscent of gum bichromate print techniques, a nod to the pioneers of photography. Ultimately, the image is a bridge between past and present, a dialogue between artistic disciplines that challenges expectations about materiality and authenticity in digital art. The use of chiaroscuro here is essential, playing on contrasts that evoke the tensions between the known and the unknown, the sacred and the profane. The hooded figure is a classical archetype, a presence that could belong as much to a distant past as to a futuristic context, lending the image an undefined temporality. This temporal ambiguity is amplified by 3D modeling, which, while trying to emulate reality, introduces a sheen of unreality, a perfection that escapes the natural decay of the physical world. The accuracy of the digital modeling and post-production are not an end in themselves but tools to achieve an emotional and narrative depth that transcends the mere visual. The anonymity of the central figure and the solemnity of the surrounding environment prompt the viewer to intimate, personal reflection, invoking universal themes of loneliness, spiritual search, and the inevitable journey toward knowledge or oblivion.

Marco Mattiuzzi's training began when he attended a creative photography course held by Fiorenzo Rosso and Serena Leale, who oriented him towards the "artistic" photo. With techniques such as solarization, toning, tinting and various manipulations, he obtains images between painting and photography. Later he deepens the language of images during annual courses of professional photography with Bruna Orlandi, Alessandra Attianese and Pier Angelo Cavanna. He has exhibited in art galleries in both solo and group exhibitions, ZOOM has published his portfolio and his work has been reviewed in newspapers and magazines. Fiorenzo Rosso wrote about him: "The reproduction of the negative is not the final stage of the process, but the beginning, or rather the continuation of a path that will end, for the author, only after a long work of manual intervention". He has collaborated with Photographie Magazine and Disegno e Pittura, as well as newspapers with critical reviews on painters and photographers. He deals with art and communication in many forms, from music to literature, from photography to virtual reality, with writings regularly published on online cultural portals and on major social networks. For some years now he has replaced the camera and darkroom with the computer, creating virtual sets in 3D from which he obtains images for further processing and manipulation.
