CARLA SUTERA SARDO (Agrigento, 1983) si è avvicinata alla fotografia per passione durante gli anni universitari trascorsi tra Palermo e Roma. Dopo l’approccio iniziale alla fotografia ,da autodidatta, attraverso il“self-portrait”, si dedica a una maggiore sperimentazione, legata agli aspetti più insoliti e incontaminati della natura siciliana e matura un linguaggio personale che le consente di esprimere la propria visione delle cose attraverso la macchina fotografica. La sua ricerca si concentra sulla donna e sulla comunicazione tra corpi e paesaggi. L’intento costante è quello di creare delle immagini oniriche ,sospese nel tempo. Le sue fotografie sono state pubblicate da riviste come L'oeil de la Photographie e Vogue Italia e hanno ricevuto riconoscimenti tra cui il Sony World Photography Awards, i Siena Photography Awards e il Prix del la Photographie.
