80s, colors and shapes 1989, almost the end of the 80s, strong colors, attitudes and movements in photography and arts in general, always had the characteristic, plus a little, perhaps exaggeration. When I took these photos for the collection, I wanted to do my best to photographically mark the movements, sometimes the subtlety of the characters' gaze and mainly use light as an element of power, in fact it is what defines photography. I used Cokin filters, series P, as an effect when taking photos, yes at that time everything had to be done at the time of the photo, there was no way to change the image, much less change colors and backgrounds, it had to be in the real photograph, which I still like it today. Photographed with a Pentax 6x7 camera, transparent color film. Fuji was my favorite brand for color film, Velvia, mainly. I also have a large collection of Cokin filters, the same ones I used in many of the photos from this great 7-day photoshoot on beautiful beaches in Santa Catarina, Brazil. Digitized on a high-resolution scanner, ideal for large formats, printed on 315g fine art paper.

Artist Statement - Elemental_Marcus Luconi I am a photographer passionate about images produced with the human figure, studio portraits, locations, environments with natural light, mixing of lights, external lights, all light is fundamental and used in my art. Elemental, a photographic project created in 1996, that continues to this day, unites the human and the environment. As a child until I was a teenager, my greatest pleasure was living close to nature, the woods, countryside, rivers, lakes, anyway, living in a small country town, it was possible. I didn’t always respect nature as I do today, I learned that we must take care of what we love and respect, “humankind and the environment”. Produced in the Photographic Set, the work consists of original photography, with transparent color film, without pre-production montages, until 2005. Professional models, chosen by affinity, small team and united by the same ideal. Artistic make-up, professional specialized in characterization with body painting and props from the environment itself. Photographed with natural light and occasionally using a flashlight to highlight important highlights. From 2005 onwards, original photographs with digital back and digital cameras, with the same minimalist technique of number of people involved on the set. Elemental is a contemporary project. My art is based on original and creative photographic techniques. The forms found in nature, such as Symbiosis, Mimicry and Camouflage, were used as image references, valuing respect between species. Man cannot take over all forms of life, he must respect and collaborate so that Nature follows his path, Flora, Fauna and Humanity. The Human Being and the Environment. Respect between species.
