Rain Pantheon Rome Photograph

In the center of the Pantheon in Rome there is a hole in the domed roof where the weather rain or shine comes through. It is a special moment indeed to be inside when it is either rain or shine, here is both - a blessing from above. Somehow the line that was outside disappeared and we walked straight in to see the magic. Here the drops collect on the marble as the sun falls through the roof. When I lived in Rome it was my favourite building and every day I would walk there for coffee in a time when you still paid in Lira and there was never a line outside. It is still my favourite building but I'm not alone I'm sure.
