Journey Gong is an American fine art photographer whose work offers poetic interpretations of cultural landscapes through light, color, and atmosphere. Born in a factory town in Northwestern China, Gong moved to the United States as a young adult. The experience of this cultural shift continues to shape his artistic perspective. His photographs transform familiar landscapes and everyday objects through subtle disruptions. Unexpected elements introduce quiet moments where reality gives way to imagination. The images exist between observation and invention, inviting viewers to reconsider the boundaries of the ordinary. Gong works in serialized bodies of photographs that evolve gradually as new works are introduced. His work has received international photography awards and is held in private collections in 18 countries, including JPMorgan. Gong lives in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, with his husband Marc.
