Taken during the first month of the new year, a contemplative time, lost in the tranquility of the moment, I found this place where the ebb of the tide met the receding sea. This was a memorable time as my mood, location and weather all combined to collaborate on this image. There was peace, awe and reflection and I felt lucky to have found this spot on the Welsh coast and will always come back. I have carefully considered the print and the paper to give you the ultimate quality that elevates the image and conveys the feeling. The paper is Hahnemühle FineArt Photo Rag 308gsm with its luxury characteristic and wonderfully soft feel and lightly textured surface, the premium matt coating produces outstanding prints with brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and excellent reproduction of detail The paper is of a museum grade for the highest age resistance and due to the sensitive nature of this paper, the print comes with a border for careful handling. * Signed and numbered on front. * Dated, titled and artist stamped on reverse. * Unframed, printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Paper. * From a limited edition of 10 * Includes a certificate of authenticity. The print is shipped rolled in a tube which is gives the most protection for shipping art prints. Alternative Sizes I am more than happy to take custom size orders, please drop me a line.

Richard Pengelley is a fine art photographer and filmmaker, his work is both cinematic and emotional, drawing upon his keen eye for storytelling and emotional perspective. Whether in monochrome or in colour, Richard’s distinctive approach and technique assemble a compassionate and respectful ground for the subject to be expressed. Richard’s lens keeps a mindful distance aiming for substantial intimacy. It is not about the tree or the reflection on the water but about the emotional connection. Richard grew up in Sitges, Spain then the Midlands in the UK and is now based in London, England. “I find photography very therapeutic and tend to hone in on details, sometimes the atmosphere, or sometimes simply the way the light falls and find beauty, peace and humanity with my subject. I’m often drawn to tranquility, but it’s mostly intuition. It’s more about how I feel at the time and what my eye is drawn to” Richards work has been featured in Frames Magazine, product work for Twelve Beauty, The Generator Project & Untainted Magazine.
