Stuart grew up in a rural Lancashire. After completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Wolverhampton he moved to Manchester in 1979 where he began his career in advertising photography. After several years of assisting he set up his own studio in 1984. Since then he has produced work for corporate brands such as AT&T, ICI, Doc Martens, Man United Football Club, Liverpool Football Club, ghd and Rolls Royce.
However, throughout this time in commercial photography Stuart has always pursued his passion for his own Fine Art work. This ranges from Landscape and Still Life to Industrial to Abstract work.
He is fastidious about his work, always exploring new ideas, places and projects. Purity of the image is paramount, be it still life, industrial or landscape and each piece is carefully crafted to achieve an uncompromising finished print. All work is produced on High End Digital equipment and printed on archival paper as Limited Editions.
