A waterfront skyline with two orange harbor cranes, turned on its side and mirrored across a teal and gold band. The cranes are the tallest things in the frame and the mirroring makes them read as a gate. Working harbor equipment gets photographed less often than the skyline behind it, which is most...

Contact us.I photograph the places I can't stop returning to—the Hudson at the West Village, wetlands outside Wurtsboro, Maui at dusk, the rail yards of northern New Jersey—and layer them into large-scale digital works that live between photograph and pattern. Each piece begins as a single frame and is then mirrored, re-colored, and bisected by a vertical column of decorative stripes that runs down the middle of the composition the way a watermark runs through paper. What returns didn't exist in the moment I stood there, but it feels more true to how the place lives in my head.
My work has appeared in Elle Decor, 6sqft, W42st, and Red Hook Water Stories, and has been shown at Robert Miller Gallery, Maison Ten, and Caelum Gallery in New York, including an Elle Decor x Roberto Coin showcase at Saks Fifth Avenue. I earned my BFA from Parsons School of Design in 1997, and have spent the two decades since working across photography, graphic design, and digital collage — a hybrid practice that treats urban geometry and natural light as raw material for the same compositional instinct.
The through-line is memory — places I've lived near, views I've returned to enough times that I can close my eyes and see the light land the same way it did yesterday. I make the work to hold not the moment itself, but the shape it leaves behind. My limited edition prints range from 20-inch studio works to 68-inch statement pieces, editions kept deliberately small, made for collectors who want something specific to a place — a corner of the Hudson, a stretch of Maui coast, a Catskill wetland in autumn — rendered at a scale that holds a room.
Based in New York, NY. Available for commissions. I also founded Leeloo + Zohan, a design studio that extends my pattern work into printed accessories at leeloozohan .com.
