A few years ago I had a great trip in the mountains of northern Norway, staying in basic but very cosy cabins in the peak of winter. We did daily excursions and got some excellent captures in the frozen and snowy environment of the mountains. This image was captured as we were making our way down from one cabin to get to civilization for some top-up of supplies before heading up to another cabin the next day. As the days are very short in winter this far north this is much earlier in the day than it might look - it's mid afternoon but it's already in the "blue hour". I found the photographs I shot at this moment almost therapeutic as they are very tranquil, and have a calming effect on me at least. A signed print from a limited edition of 25. Printed with a white border to accommodate framing/mounting and the signature - the actual size of the printed image is 79.1 x 114.9 cm. Should you have any questions about any of my artworks, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via my website ("globe" button under my profile photo). Also, if you would like to get updates about new artworks you can also click the “Follow” button on my profile. Beautifully Giclée printed on Hahnemuhle Pearl paper - a slightly textured 285 gsm. semi-gloss paper which holds more detail with punchier colours than a matt paper, whilst maintaining a illustrative/ painted feel. Technology: Epson UltraChrome HDR Wide Gamut Inks with archival life expectancy: 40 years daylight, 200 years in dark. All prints are professionally printed to ensure the absolute best quality and consistency. I pride myself in strict quality control, hence I only use top professional printers based here in London, that I am content use very strict colour consistency checks and use the very best of printing techniques available. This of course greatly increases production costs, but give me and my customers the peace of mind that I deliver a supreme quality artwork.

I am a freelance photographer based in London. I enjoy a big love for travelling, which not only takes me around the world – with many great new images as a result – it's also a continuing source of inspiration which influences and feeds my passion for photography. With a background that started with drawing and illustration, which in turn lead to graphic design I believe the foundation of the way I compose my captures is very much affected by this. I often look for very graphic compositions with strong lines, large areas of strong colour, negative space and pushing the boundaries of traditional rules of composition. There is also a different approach to the way I like capturing my images when it comes to more travel reportage images. Still looking to isolate my subject, either by using shallow focus, leading lines, concentrating of light, picking out splashes of colour, and other techniques. Most images are very much as a spectator, fly on the wall if you like - I generally don't like posed images. I feel I get a truer picture when I don't interfere, but also I'm not hiding in the distance with a tele-lens - I like to be close to my subjects in plain sight.
