I began taking my daughter to Toys R Us every Friday after school. It was a way to celebrate her working hard in school all week. There were many weeks we had a $10 budget but it still was a bright light in our day. I did the same with my son when he turned two. I am sad that this iconic store is going out of business. I was in Florida this week and snapped this image. It reminds me of going to FAO Schwarz in Manhattan. There were so many fun memories of shopping in the store. I know that toy store is also gone. Why are all the great kids toy places disappearing? Will we struggle to make the same kinds of memories shopping online? This is an unsigned numbered edition of 2.
