About The Artwork

The Lovers #2 tells of modern life for a young generation. A mix of tragedy, eroticism, and traditional love. The world is being reported to be dying, choked by plastic and greed, and amongst it we are asked to uphold traditions of love set by earlier generations with alternate motives. My sitters on the day were young lovers of Berlin, raised in different countries, different social and cultural backgrounds, coming together by chance at a sex club, her an erotic performer and he a PVC clad DJ, the pair running off on a whim to be married, giggling at the absurdity of it all.

Australian born professional photographer started his career in advertising, but found it empty. In 2010 he sold all his belongings, besides a backpack of clothes and his camera, and moved his life to Berlin, Germany. The city resonated immediately, and he built a new life there, documenting the burlesque scene in seedy smokey night clubs, the resulting images becoming two books. From there he started More Human Agency, a talent agency for unique and talented people. Using this large and diverse pool of talent, Paul delved deep into both the abilities of his models, and the fringes of his own work. Paul Green works with dancers, strippers, contortionists, shibari artists, aerialists, just to name a few. His work is a celebration of the different, the fringes, the beauty in the unique. In his professional life, Paul Green works mostly with humanitarian projects that aim to encourage tolerance, understanding, and compassion.
