"The Scared Baby" Photograph - Limited Edition of 1

Talayeh Atlasi is an Iranian Photographer, Filmmaker and Video artist, born in Tehran, Iran in 1982. She is a member of Iranian Youth Cinema Society since 2001. She had made her first short film of the first Conceptual Art Exhibition of Iran in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMoCA) in 2002 and the short film has been screened in Cinematheque of (TMoCA) in 2003 and Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) in 2004. It was also screened in the New Art Exhibition organized by TMoCA in Tehran in 2004. She held her second master in cinema and Multimedia from Rome University, and also had held the diploma of the biennial course of Drawing and Painting in Art and Literature school of Tehran in 1996 and continues working in a variety of media. She has made her short film and documentaries in Iran, Italy and UK and collaborated with professional artists and Cinematographers from different countries. ​ By her short films, documentaries and photographies, she has Participated in numerous group Exhibitions, showcases specially Film Festivals and visual art events by her documentaries, short films and photography. In 2011, by her short film ''Yellow Light'', she won the Special Mention of Jury for national competition of Italy ''Cine-Disu'' which caused her to be invited to the program of ''Nel cuore dei giorni'' on Italian channel TV 2000 to present the short film. In 2012 she has won the special mention of Jury for national competition of Art-Disu for her photography ‘’Behind the Cross’’. ​ She is parallelly working as Filmmaker and photographer. Since 2014 she has participated in ''Tassvir'' (Image of the year) and on the other hand she made social documentaries such as ''Boutique 14'' for Documentary and Experimental Film Center of Iran in 2016.
