About The Artwork
From a recent photographic trip to the Khmer pagodas in Tra Vinh Province, Vietnam. Home to over 140 Khmer pagodas, Tra Vinh is an unique place to visit. Ever since my first trip to the province, I have been drawn back to visit the pagodas. The most famous and popular ones are rich in colour. My latest series came to life with my recent purchase of a Nikkor vintage lens from the 1960's. The lens has its own distinct bokeh signature, as seen in the out of focus areas. I developed a black and white sepia toned series first as it reflects the mood and tone I felt at that moment of time.
