About The Artwork

"Transition" is a photo by Wojcieh Pacewich. The fragment of documentation from long duration peformance work "Transition" that was realized at the project Action Lublin. Part 3., organized by Labirynt Gallery in Lublin Poland. I make a specific ceramic object, one "shoe" for standing. I was choose a place in Grodska Gate that was a special for Lublin city, this gate was separated a city into Catholic and Jewish parts. I was standing and observing a people walking around me and listening their talks and wrote this phrases on my hand. I was used this text like a subtitles in a video that was recorded peoples legs walking in the passsge during my action. I wanted to check how sound this city now, is it still so multicultural like before?
