The Abdallah Al-Atrash Family, Unrecognized Bedouin Village in the Rahat area: ”This is what was left from the demolished mosque. We are to God and to God we shall return.” Written on the sign. The second sentence is from the Koran and is said when somebody dies. In the late 1980s, the Abdallah Al-Atrash family was transferred by the Israel Land Administration to a site in the Rahat area. On December 15, 2008, hundreds of police officers and many vehicles, bulldozers, various crowd-dispersion means and mounted police arrived at that site and demolished the village entirely.
