An ancient half-closed window looks down. How many looks have captured the movements of the sky reflected in the canals? How many voices have passed through it? How many silences and how many laughs? In silence could still talk of dead languages. Print on textured paper to emphasize details. Museum quality. Unique blacks and shades of gray thanks to the ancient and refined technique of printing carbon dust. Treated for protection against water and wet. 90-year printer warranty certificate. Authenticated by the artist with stamp, signature and serial number. A top quality print for collectors or certified investment in the art market.

I started photographing in 2015 for play, without an art project. It was the people I met and then the art world that discovered me as a talent. After just two years, I was asked to take part in the first individual and collective exhibitions in Italy. From that moment on my name was becoming known to experts in the field. In 2021 I was included in the list of Italian artists and I participated in the first international exhibition. In 2022 I was selected to participate in the first biennial exhibition of contemporary art in the Royal Palace of Caserta. On these two occasions my photography began to be exhibited with internationally renowned artists. In the same year I was selected for an exhibition by the gallery Van Zeidlerdi Berlin. The people who pose for me are friends or ordinary people. I create an informal and tension-free atmosphere in which the person who poses can slowly get rid of any tension revealing for what they are. I start photographing them before I even take the camera in my hand, When exchanging the first words, I understand that person has an image within himself. I often like to blend the harmony of naked bodies with the dilapidation of abandoned places. At that moment an abandoned and destroyed place comes back to life and recreates a new beauty made of art. I don’t like mass media sensationalism, I repudiate big movie stories. I prefer to search in the details of the everyday world the games of shadows and lights, details that leave a person free to create a feeling, to make a memory emerge from the past, to create a story that starts from my image. With photography I see an instant of my way of looking at the world that merges with the world of the beholder. The real world, who is photographing, who is watching: already this is great. CRITICAL NOTE Stefano Gujon, born in Cividale del Friuli in 1975, began to photograph in recent years to be quickly introduced into the world of exhibitions. In the various genres that he faces ( abandoned places, single everyday objects, portraits, eros, scenes of life ) his photography is characterized by capturing the detail as a synthetic representation of the whole highlighting the contrasts of light and shadow, shapes and materials, of static and movement perceptible in the photo as if they were repeated again, after the shot, in front of the eye of the observer.
