The Vivid Series captures three dimensional light sculptures during Sydney’s winter festival to create abstract compositions of luminous geometric structures. “Lightscapes” are post-photographic digital artworks, inspired by the futuristic neon aesthetic of Cyberpunk Science-Fiction. Photographic techniques capture illumination from artificial light sources to create vibrant, kinetic, abstract compositions. Lightscapes go beyond conventional representational photography, to explore the nexus between sensory perception and speculative imagination. Artworks include: Flow, Vivid, Glow, Flare, Shift and Pulse Series. Limited edition artworks are printed in vibrant 10 colour pigment ink, on metallic archival photographic paper, with a glossy 6mm clear acrylic face mount. A discreet hidden hanging system allows the panel to float from the wall surface. The finish is smooth and sharp with high optical clarity and visual depth. Light is refracted by the acrylic and reflected by the metallic stock, simulating the visual effects and surface textures of futuristic urban environments.
