The captures of the project to which this photo belongs, Wonders of nature, were carried out in Iceland and the Artic in Norway during 2017 and 2018. This work deals with the beauty of nature and, at the same time, with how we humans, have made it our playgrounds and backyard. Cano Erhardt (Bilbao, Spain, 1955) is a fine art photographer focusing nowadays mainly in rural and nature landscapes and street photography. To that end he works around Spain and also in other places worldwide, with a special incidence in New York City. His studio is located in Madrid. In June, 2016 he won the prestigious PREMIO FUNDACION ENAIRE (former AENA), for his work “Waiting for the train”. Edition 1/6 of that photograph belongs now to the Enaire Foundation’s Art Collection and is featured on its catalogue. At the end of 2014 he held his first solo exhibition, in Galería Luis Burgos in Madrid. There he showed his project TIERRAS, about rural landscapes in Spain. In 2016 and in the same venue, he showed “In Coney Island”, a street photography work included in PHOTOESPAÑA 2016 Festival Off. Also in 2016, he held the exhibtion “Altas Soledades” (“High Solitudes”) in Galería Lumbreras, in Bilbao, with landscapes from the Bolivian Andes. Besides these three solo shows, he has had some of his works displayed in several other occasions, including FLECHA 2015, 2016 and 2017 art fair in Madrid.
