About The Artwork
Archival pigment inks on art paper from scanned original analogue film negatives. Paper size A4 Image size 10.5 ins x 7 ins (26.6 cms x 17.8 cms) Signed and numbered and dated year taken on back of print In 1994 I was commissioned to document Ghana. Time has moved on and Ghana is a changed land but these images represent a country on the cusp of prosperity. This girl worked with her brothers to build boats. Wooden boats are partly carved out of a whole tree. Her job was to carry the knives used in the building process.
