Young Riders is a compelling black-and-white photograph that captures the essence of childhood adventure and the early exploration of identity. In this image, three young boys confidently pose with their motorcycles, symbolizing a raw spirit of freedom, rebellion, and the limitless imagination that defines youth. Their determined expressions stand in contrast to their tender ages, evoking a poignant narrative about dreams and aspirations. This photograph was taken with an 8x10” large format camera on Ilford HP5 film, a choice renowned for its ability to produce images with rich tonal range and exceptional detail. The use of this classic film medium adds a layer of timelessness and depth to the image, making it resonate with a sense of nostalgia while maintaining a contemporary relevance. Featured at the Krakow Photo Month 2024 in the ShowOff section, this work is part of the Documentary Fashion project, which blends the candid nature of documentary photography with the stylized elements of fashion, presenting everyday moments with a cinematic and artistic touch. Print Details: The artwork is meticulously printed using Archival Inkjetprint technology on HAHNEMUHLE Photo Rag Baryta 315 gsm paper, known for its superb depth, detail, and archival quality. This limited edition of 12 prints is available in the size of 150x186 cm, with ample white borders that enhance the visual impact of the piece. Each print is personally signed by the artist on the reverse side, accompanied by an artist’s seal and a unique edition number, guaranteeing its authenticity and making it a valuable addition to any collection. This photograph is more than just an image; it is a narrative that speaks to the universal themes of growth, adventure, and the relentless pursuit of one’s dreams, making it a captivating centerpiece for any art collection.

Once I was asked: “What is the truth?”. I did not understand the question. What is art? Through our lives we, in one form or another, are trying to discover the meaning of our existence, to satisfy our curiosity and achieve satisfaction through such achievement. It is one's inevitable limitations and inhibitions which frustrate such efforts but which also frequently drive people with artistic spirits to create outside their comfort zone and in some extreme cases leads even to their destruction. I would like to see my art as an unrestricted journey of self-discovery and exploration in search of elusive answers to those and other questions which are often more difficult to understand than to answer. I remember once, my emotional, and admittedly elaborative art expose about my paintings, was abruptly interrupted by a friend, and an artist, saying: “You should not explain the art. The true art speaks for itself”. Forget prolonged explanations. Art is an expression in itself. Just as much as reality is just merely our perception. Is it not?
