Thais Bertolin Brazilian women artist, lives and works in São Paulo.
In her practice, since 2007, Thais has specialized in historical photographic processes and has focused her research on the universe of expanded photography.
She has the ability to transform and recreate images using different photography processes and combine it with other techniques such as engraving, watercolor and drawing adding elements and layers to the image that guarantee artistic creation and experimentation. In her research one photography point to an inexhaustible repertoire of combinations generating infinite possibilities for new images.
Her work establishes a dialogue between the internal and external world, between the visible and the unfathomable. It is a symbiosis between the ancient and the contemporary.
