About the Artist
Lorraine Kerr
i am a fine art photographer, and i love abstracts in particular, as what i feel the essence of an image to be also becomes the only possible focus for the viewer. i prefer the aesthetic rigours of the square format, or 1:1 ratio. i have had several exhibitions, most recently in 2015 at the hatton fine art gallery, newcastle upon tyne.
i use a variety of analogue and digital cameras, including a leica v-lux 2, a thornton pickard half-plate camera, a diana f+ and a canon eos 5d mark ii.
i love photography, it inspires a stilness in my mind that is otherwise not present.
