'the pink sofa' was taken in a casa de campo (countryside home) in the mediterranean region of Girona in northern Spain. As in many other of my works, I have chosen to explore the expressive and emotional power of hands and feet, who speak without words and yet communicate so expressively. This work is a poetic exploration of how the body speaks.

Hey there! I'm an Amsterdam-based artist deeply enamored by the subconscious, nature, the countryside, and the absurd. As a sociologist I'm constantly getting drawn to reflect on culture and on questions of tribal belonging. In my work I like to explore the theme of the collective unconscious, the spirit of objects, and the cycle of life.
