This piece is part of an extended exploration of stripes, colour and scale. Stripes tend to be part of an ever ending strip or boundless flow. I have looked at how a collection of stripes work together at the core and have built up the image by adding layers and depth. These are embossed with a unique stamp to commemorate the limited run.

Stuart McMorris a designer living in Edinburgh. He created Surface Halftone as an outlet and playground for design exploration away from the digital design and marketing he was doing 9 - 5. With a background in textile design, he is fascinated by graphic design, typography and surface patterns. Recent work incorporates simple geometrics loosely based on landscapes using Google Maps to help build the visual story. Simple repeats, bright colour palettes and stripes make up the core building blocks. He has had a number of commissions from the UK and Australia to date.
