ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is part of my ongoing “Community” series. Since 2016 I’ve been splitting my time between Brooklyn and the Catskills mountains (2-3 hours north of NYC). I attempted here to represent friendship and community through interlocking homes and structures that recede into a geometric pattern. The receding pattern helps convey depth but also stands-in for an idea of networks. The ground is minimized into a simple line that connects the homes somewhat like a string and beads.
