About The Artwork

The question was what emotions might look like. How to describe them? How to tame them. Sometimes they are soft and friendly, sometimes difficult and hard. The drawing was drawn with a crayon and oil pastels on lithographic limestone. It was printed on an old lithographic press in a limited edition of 10 pcs as one layer graphic. This one is AP (artist proof), a one-and-only three-layer printing draw in my collection. The print size itself is about 66 W x 80 H cm. It has a border of approx. 8 - 12 cm (top / bottom) and approx. 2 cm (sides).

Cropped figures, portraits, and organic forms appear in my abstracts. A thick nervous line covered with scraps of torn paper. Here and there fragments of drawings, maps, and labels on an imperfect background - crumpled paper. Color emphasized by emotions becomes an intensely personal experience. First, interior design, then painting and graphics, and after that - graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts. I stopped being a full-time artist for a long time. The priorities are not yet fully agreed with myself, the decision is waiting to be made, but - I draw, there is no time :) I have started to show my works recently. I was born and raised in a working-class city in Poland. The architecture of old German tenement houses and factories was intertwined with a landscape of smoky chimneys of 11 mines and 2 steel mills. Now, I live in Warsaw. I focus mainly on large sheets of paper, weaving a painter's trace of a brush between a thin line of a pencil. I use oil pastels, crayons, pencils, and acrylic, covering it with layers of other materials.
