Born in Aberdeen, Scotland 1976

Alan Stuart studied Fine Art, specialising in printmaking, at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen. Afterwards, he worked as a professional printmaker for the likes of Damien Hurst, Peter Blake and David Shepard at a print studio in London.

He recently relocated to Oxford. Joining the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative to commence work on his own prints.

Alans work concentrates on people within their everyday lives. Using his technique of aquatint on zinc etchings, he conveys a brief glimpse into the lives of the characters in his prints.
