A new print on a new surface for me. This is a six colour screen print on a piece of spraypainted 15mm thick plywood, cut to 60x90cm. When hung this piece appears to float an inch off the wall. The sides of the wood are painted yellow and the surface a matte black, showing a hint of the lovely wood-grain. The image is hand printed in six bold colours. The illustration is from the Kyoto Temple series. The images were taken outside the pagoda at the Kiyomizu-dera temple in Kyoto's old town.
