Walter van Rijn, Labyrinth Wall Design 3 (Installation Proposal), 2019, digital print on paper, font Being Human. Limited Edition 1 of 1, signed, 76 x 51 cm (30 x 20 inch).
To visualise my next project (Labyrinth), I created a series of collages with a printed wall design, showing labyrinth like spaces in perspective. The wall design consists of text and coloured lines creating an intricate pattern. All the surfaces are covered with data from events that took place at that location and with text linked to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948. This series of work is an installation proposal and I am looking for galleries or collectors who might be interested in staging the installation.
While working on this print I decided to make it a one-off because I am going to use the human rights as text for the edition of 50. So this print becomes a unique work (Limited Edition of 1). The text in this print edition is based on Time After Time exhibition at John Hansard Gallery, Southampton, UK.
