ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"An artist's print based on my original painting, which was described as "This painting is a stunning example of the power and richness of contemporary expressionism. The artist's unique artistic style immediately grabs the attention and allows the viewer to become deeply immersed in the world of the painting. The combination of abstract expressionism and figurative elements reflects the artist's highly creative approach. The depiction of the pink cat is not a simple representation of an animal, but rather conveys an emotional resonance. The dynamic interplay of distorted shapes and vibrant colours brings the painting to life, while allowing the viewer to associate their own emotional experience with it. The painting's rich texture and layered colour palette add further dimensions to the artwork, creating a unique atmosphere. The composition is both sophisticated and exciting, retaining the essence of spontaneity and expressiveness. The thoughtful layout and bold linework create a harmonious unity within the painting as a whole. The overall effect is a work of art that evokes deep emotion in the viewer while prompting reflection and inspiration."

Hi! I'm a visual artist. I was born and living in Budapest, Hungary. Leaving behind the world of design I mainly deal with painting. In the past Iwas inspired mainly by psychology and my own and otherss' memories. I used to process old photos. The characters in my pictures were mostly women and little girls, less often dogs. The theme could be a portrait or a whole figurative representation, I tried to fill it with secondary, underlying content. During the closed, stimulus-poor months of the Covid quarantine, I spontaneously painted wildly dancing, partying figures, with loud colors, without caring about the anatomy. Then the shadow figures appeared in my pictures. These fragmented, distorted figures and torsos became the protagonists of my new paintings. I don't spare my figures. I stretch, compress, truncate, rotate, mirror, duplicate them and place them in different situations. It is not only the figures, the arrangement of the composition, or the setting of the point of view that changes, but the former restrained and decent, limited use of color has been replaced by an inner desire for a provocative, undisciplined use of color. The pandemic changed the world and me. Before, I processed the past comfortably, and now I let the voices and thoughts that disturb my present come to the surface from the depths of my consciousness and try to organize them.
