About The Artwork

Printmaking: Digital on Paper. This is a limited edition print. Only 30 of these will be produced. Each print is signed by the artist, and with the title & edition (ie 5/30) also written underneath the image. Being a self-representing artist I'm lucky to be able to paint what I love. My enjoyment of surfing draws me to beaches & cliffs, Modernist architecture is a passion as are Golf courses. The original artwork is taken to our photographer's studio, where he works on capturing the texture & vibrancy of the painting. Giclee prints are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks. The Giclee printing process provides a better colour accuracy than other means of reproduction. The quality of the Giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries. We have used a slightly textured fine art hand made acid free paper in a just off white colour. The size of the paper is A2, the image measures 38 x 48cm & is centred in the A2 paper.

Born and raised in and around London, but I’ve always been drawn to the sea. Having spent many years working in London designing bars & clubs, and making sculptures, I moved to North Devon. Finally living by the sea, I transferred my eye for bold design to painting. I use acrylic paint and palette knives to create a modern take on coastal landscapes, gardens & Modernist architecture. I find endless inspiration from the coast & am a keen surfer. Major influences artistically are the St Ives school of artists & David Hockney. I now divide my time between North Devon and Bath, where I have my studio & Gallery.
