Tibetan Thangka Thangska - China Fight Itself - Limited Edition of 25 Print

Titles change and one tries not to be fixed. The screenplay Seven had three 10 re rights so I find if the narrative or title dates it sometimes means the meaning has developed or overlapped but not by repetition has it evolved, but rather the world outside has influenced the work more . This is an extremely political painting or footprint.It was inspired by Tibetan Thangkas as I have two in my room and am worried or have been about the moths eating the silk or apparently doing so by leaving eggs rather than me waiting to see wings of moths consume them overnight. There is a liberating feeling of once damage or creasing appears there is less stress or anxiety of maintaining them or keeping them in a pristine condition. I do not mean completely letting them go and one feels perhaps more responsible to them than the painting inspired by them . One can offer them with the work or the collection it would be a relief . Amazing that the Thangkas are displayed reverse so one appreciates the silk framing and the footprints at the back rather than the laboured front. Paintings are all the front, the power , the mask and behind maybe dust, cobweb, a signature, message and an invisible space. An artist stores and perhaps over a time sees the back as much as the front so perhaps the sides could be the next subject...it would be amusing to see a blank canvas with the edges done..(hehe). In some ways left many comments on instagram so have become a comedian artist , perhaps networking and advertising onself enough times where ones power of insight has gone..non invisible..an abstract marketeer? People like to be found, discovered yet one has done that for them and sub consciously insulted the surprise. An exhibition is on the cards hence why this is not for sale and more works at this size . The value seems to be cushion holed if one is not known and the fact that one can supply, transport the large works, offer limited edition prints..perhaps a few sketches for the client are just a fantasy. Also one likes to know the client or collector and hope they can continue and appreciate them. Very interesting to see how work is different form commission to personnel discovery. There is a romance if under a commission and a protective mask of creativity. This work is none of that, It actually is a rebel against itself as the theme was to be dancers inside a street perspective expressing movement and a freestyle of the brush..even filmed the work explaining how it was developing yet it became Dragon like as the face appeared without seeing it. The face of the dragon appeared after a week as the painting was inverted and the attention was on a figure of an alien underneath the ballerinas. After witnessing the dragon it became more of a deity taking over me that appeared in the Thangkas in my room. A mixture of wildness and tameness , protection and fear. During the week the Chinese Government seem to be over seeing the area of Tiber further and letting go of the American Embassy in Southern China and also separating the Tibetans further . Alot of my visualisations were from a Tai Chi and Kung Fu background so not totally against the culture but there is a concern and an awareness with the totalisation of their force in the world . There is a 1992 film about China and Human Fuel where I filmed China town as part of my art foundation work yet looking back it was a compression and also an expanse of culture now mixed with slight fear and Political attention. Some cultures like Thailand just have no agenda of expansion or invading other realms or borders so in the news to find China battling , confusing , leasing, lying or detaining innocent protestors amidst reports and tiring news of climate abuse can be depressing, eye opening, insulting to world peace; and the only one thing my little sub conscious can produce in ones own little world is this work which took another huge piece a few months before of a glacier or iceberg theme exploding its black ice mind into the void unknown that the next nurturing living absorbtion would be a Dragon Deity in epsom salts . The word absorbtion does not spell how it sounds , cannot believe how many words have been spell checked here. Absorbtion is lord how many enzymes to assist in the digestion of a product of food and a word ensyme to finally in ones mid life to understand is to excite and respect just as much as our sexuality as it is appetite and is one of the secrets of beauty .
